Corn starch calendar bags are compostable!
Released on 04 December 2006
South Norfolk Council's Christmas refuse and recycling calendar is being delivered to residents wrapped in bags made of corn starch.
The bags are biodegradable and can be buried in the ground or put on the compost heap.
The calendars which tell residents of Christmas refuse and recycling collection times are tucked inside the lid of the wheeled bin, and are wrapped to protect them from rain.
