District council by-election result, Diss Ward

Conservative Party candidate Anthony Charles Palmer of 8 Gainsborough Avenue, Diss IP22 4YR, has been elected to serve Diss ward, in a by-election which took place on Thursday, 15 June 2006.
The turnout was 29.6%.
The votes cast for each candidate are as follows:
Suzanne Lesley Ayres (Lib Dem) - 714 votes
Anthony Charles Palmer (Cons) - 845 votes
Graham Sessions (Green) - 102 votes
Total: 1,661 votes (100%)
Cllr Palmer replaces Liberal Democrat Cllr Jill Caldwell.
