Council tax
We collect council tax from residents in South Norfolk to help pay for local services such as the police, fire service, refuse collection, social services and education. Our leaflet How your money is spent on local services [PDF 1.60MB] explains where the money goes.
The amount you pay depends which council tax band your home is in, if you are entitled to a discount, or if your property is exempt (i.e. you shouldn't be paying council tax at all).
