Post Office closures

Summary

'Support your local post office' campaign logo

Despite a very strong campaign and fierce opposition from the public, Post Office Ltd. has confirmed the closure of five post offices in South Norfolk: Bressingham, Cringleford, Scole, Tacolneston and Trowse. They also want to close the post office at New Costessey, and consultation on that proposal closes on 26 August 2008.

Along with Costessey Parish Council we are working with the postmistress at New Costessey to develop a case against the closure. To help get local people involved in that campaign, a public meeting will be held at Breckland Hall, Breckland Road, Costessey on Wednesday 30 July at 7pm. If you want this post office stay open for business, please come along to the meeting to show your support.
