Trade waste collections from business premises
Summary
We offer a service to collect refuse and recycling from your business. A charge is made for this service to commercial premises. The payment covers:
- weekly trade refuse collection and fortnightly recycling collection – for bin customers only, or;
- alternate fortnightly refuse and recycling collection – for trade sack customers only.
We offer trade sacks to those who do not generate much rubbish/recycling, and also provide three sizes of wheeled bin to those who have more.
How to request the Trade Waste collection service
- Contact us by e-mail, telephone, or letter (our details are at the foot of this page);
- Information we will need from you:
- your full name;
- your full address including your postcode;
- your home telephone number and a number which we can contact you on during normal office hours if this is different;
- your email address (if applicable);
- how you would like us to respond to your enquiry, and;
- details of your request.

Trade recycling service
We are introducing a new trade recycling service across South Norfolk in conjunction with the domestic wheeled bins. Our trade recycling is cheaper than our trade refuse collection, so by recycling you are saving money for your business as well as helping the environment.
The three available bin sizes are 360ltr, 660ltr and 1100ltr.
June 2007: Due to unforseen circumstances, we are not accepting any new customers for the Trade Waste Recycling service. This also applies even if you are a Trade Waste Refuse customer.
We can only supply extra recycling bins to customers who already have Trade Waste Recycling bins. We are looking into this issue, and hope to reinstate the service as soon as possible.
Duty of Care
If you require the trade waste service you will be expected to complete a Duty of Care form. A sample form can be viewed from the 'Downloads' section above.
Paying for the service
Payment for the bin collection is made by quarterly invoices in advance. Payment for the trade sacks can be made by card, cheque (prior to delivery), or invoice if over £100.00. The price includes VAT, hire of the bin and emptying. For payment information see Making payments to South Norfolk Council.
