Raise Your Game in Marketing

This course will guide you through the process of creating a marketing plan, it will show you how to conduct a SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) analysis of your own business and those of your competitors, and how to analyse your customer base.

You will learn how to identify where your products and service sit in the 'product life-cycle' and how to distinguish between their features and benefits.

You will take a fresh look at your company's image and branding, understand how it can impact on your customers and find ways in which you can use this to your advantage.

You will take a long hard look at your competitors, who they are, where they are and who has the advantage. You will explore ways of gaining an advantage over your competitors and develop a strategy to take your business forward.

By the time you have completed the course you will have constructed a comprehensive Marketing Plan for your own business.

Raise Your Game in Human Resources (HR)

This course is designed to help you understand the need for companies to have HR policies.

You will start by looking at ways of analysing jobs and producing job descriptions and personnel specifications.

You will look at ways of attracting the right applicant for the job and how to interview and assess people effectively. You will learn about the different ways of evaluating candidates, how to make an offer of employment, the need for contracts of employment and the different approaches to salary and benefits packages.

You will learn about the keeping of employee records, structure induction, review and appraisal programmes.

Explore the dos and don'ts of a disciplinary from informal investigations through policies and procedures and grievances.

This course is not filled with legislation and bureaucracy, though it will tell you where to find information on these topics. Rather it is about the day to day impact of HR and about understanding the need for your company to have a clear HR policy.

If you would like to sign up for either of these courses, the instructions and application forms are above.
