Local Development Framework (LDF)
We have recently consulted with you on a number of different documents that form part of the Local Development Framework. Responses to these consultations are currently being considered and we will be consulting on the Council's Preferred Options for growth later this year. Please see the links below to find out more.
- LDF: Wymondham Area Action Plan
- LDF: Development Management Policies DPD
- LDF: Long Stratton Area Action Plan
- LDF: Site Specific and Allocations DPD
The LDF is made up of various documents, see How the documents fit together [PDF], each of which is developed, in consultation with the community of South Norfolk before it is finally adopted. The consultation processes, who and how we consult, are explained in our Statement of Community Involvement.
The documents being produced in the LDF are shown in a timetable which is called the Local Development Scheme.
We have been working with Broadland District Council, Norwich City Council and Norfolk County as part of the Greater Norwich Development Partnership (GNDP) to produce and adopt a Joint Core Strategy Document which sets out the strategic growth for housing and employment over the next 15 years. This document was adopted in March 2011. We are now working together on a Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL). Visit the GNDP website for further information.
